Amazing pictures!
The book these came from said some of the paint jobs cost $15,000 and had to be repeated every 3 months as the cat's hair grows out. Must be nice to have $60,000 a year just to keep your cat painted!
But I must say that I feel sorry for these cats.
These are from a book and I think somewhere in the end of it it says they are faked, but I don't know. I wish my cats were painted.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't look faked to me.
ReplyDeletePoor cats...
I think some of these are nice, the subtle ones such as the moons and stars and the 2ed striped pic with the two cats.
ReplyDeleteThe brightly colored ones are frightening, and it doesn't look as if the cats mind. I have a Siamese and Himalayan and they couldn't care less what you do as long as your nice. If they weren't such beautiful beige pastel colors i might consider doing something like this for the fun of it.
great for furfags?
ReplyDeleteNo, these are most definitely photoshopped.
ReplyDeletethey are most certianly not photoshopped! my cats would never let me do something like that!
ReplyDeletewhy in heaven's name would anyone do that to thier cat ?? that's just a waste of money !!! i would NOT do that to my two cats !!! no freaking way and how the heck would the cat keep still enough to have that done ??
ReplyDeleteit's obviously photoshopped. you can see the pixels. LOOK AT THE PIXELS!
ReplyDeleteThis is from a cool book called "Why Paint Cats?" The cats weren't really painted, the pictures were photoshopped. The book is a combination of art book and practical joke.
ReplyDeleteI actually want the book, because photoshopped or not it was really fun to look at. :D
fake or not, people who like this shouldn't be allowed to have cats...
ReplyDeleteI agree!
ReplyDeleteThose poor cats...
ReplyDeleteI hope these are just photoshops.
Of course they're photoshopped! Use your heads. Do you think ghost pictures are real too? Some of you people make me fear for humanity.
ReplyDeleteI know the're not photoshopped. It's impossible.
ReplyDeleteI've tried it over and over and the printer jamed every time. (I even tried with the fur shaved off.)
I WOULD TOTALLY DO THAT TO MY CAT
ReplyDeletePhotoshopped
ReplyDeleteCheck out the picture. I did that in about 5 min. using photoshop. I assure you that those cats are a result of a graphic artist imagination.
You couldn't dye a cat like that in the first place. I'm fairly certain SPCA would be on that one faster than you could say "big fat fine."
i still don't like cats
ReplyDeleteI own this book and the pictures in the book are a lot better than these scanned images
ReplyDelete"I know the're not photoshopped. It's impossible.

AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA.
They're airbrushed with vegetable or food dyes. The photos are from a book called Why Paint Cats.
ReplyDeleteDude thats wrong!!! (but super funny)
ReplyDeleteHere is a link to book.

Come on. Obviously photoshopped.
ReplyDeleteIf you can do this with photshop - http://www.worth1000.com/cache/contest/contestcache.asp?contest_id=3695
Im pretty sure you can do simpler things like changing the colour of fur.
It's from a calendar, called painted cats. A professional artist does them. They aren't fake. R-tard.
ReplyDeletei hate cats. I mean hate cats. i believe they should disappear from the face of the earth. I hope they all fall into a firey pit in hell and die one million painful deaths. I hope the painted ones go first.
ReplyDeleteok photoshopped or not a) creepy and should never ever be done and b) to the people who honestly get upset over this debate...get over it...youre creepy in and of yourselves
